In a relief to Subway Systems, the Competition Commission of India has dropped charges of profiteering against the company and held that charging royalty and advertising expenses did not amount to profiteering. The company was accused of resorting to profiteering by charging royalty and advertisement charges on the increased base price from the franchisee.
