The Red Ants Pants Music Festival kicked off Thursday evening after being canceled last year due to the pandemic.
Festival Producer and owner of Red Ants Pants Sarah Calhoun says the festival is not just about jamming out to music, but actually strengthening Montana by raising funds for the Red Ants Pants Foundation which is dedicated to fostering strength and self-reliance in women, in rural communities. This is a community-driven event and the whole city is rising up in the cow pasture, out there and everybody pitches in and so there is a lot of pride being build over the years with having this festival,â said Calhoun.

Festivals, fairs and events are returning across the West this summer. Here are the ones you don’t want to miss. Sunset staff – July 16, 2021
Summer events are returning up and down the West with old traditions and new editions.
You can listen to live music at one of the big stages over the next few months, watch hot air balloons float across the sky, or simply take the family to pick some fresh fruit.
One major event back in a big way this summer is the music festival. See Garth Brooks and Maren Morris at Wyomingâs Cheyenne Frontier Days or Post Malone at Utahâs Hive Music Festival. If youâre more of a foodie, pick fresh strawberries at Californiaâs Carlsbad Strawberry and Sunflower Fields or grab a new brew at Idahoâs Magic Valley Beer Festival. For more of a cultural experience, Nevada has the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and New Mexico has Art Santa Fe.
