A special prosecutor has ended his four-year investigation into possible FBI misconduct in its probe of ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. The report Monday from special counsel John Durham offers withering criticism of the bureau but a meager court record that fell far short of the former president’s prediction he would uncover the “crime of the century.” It represents the long-awaited culmination of an investigation that Trump and allies had claimed woul...

Donald Trump’s primetime return to CNN Wednesday for the first time since 2016 felt like a throwback: Trump gave long, twisting answers. The interviewer at times struggled to fact-check him or return his focus to the question at hand. Eventually, it ended with them both talking over each other and Trump flinging a few insults. On Monday, a heavy presence of police converged in a neighboring area where the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported a possible sighting, but later said none o...

Marina Novikova was found guilty on Friday of “spreading false information” about the Russian army. That was made a criminal offense after Russian troops entered Ukraine last year. Novikova’s social media posts decried the invasion and criticized the Russian government....

Montana Republican leaders have voted to bar a transgender state lawmaker from the House floor in retaliation for rebuking colleagues – and then participating in protests – after they voted to ban gender-affirming care for children. The decision Wednesday has brought the nationwide debate over protest’s role in democracy to Montana, where lawmakers punished Democratic Rep. Zooey Zephyr for voicing dissent on Wednesday. Earlier in the week a protest in support of her actions disrupted the H...
