Youngsters remember Cuba s National Hero birth anniversary Youngsters remember Cuba s National Hero birth anniversary Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, Jan 26 (Prensa Latina) The Movimiento Juvenil Martiano (MJM) and the Patria Martiana Project of this central province paid on Tuesday tribute to Cuba s National Hero Jose Marti (1853-1895), on the 168th birth anniversary. Orlando Ernesto Perez, president of the aforementioned movement in the territory, said that new Marti clubs were created and incorporated to the Provincial Council centers where youngsters from key sectors such as science, culture and education stand out. The MJM is made up of some 3,000 young people and is linked to several projects, as well as the Jose Marti Cultural Society (SCJM), the Brigade of Art Instructors and the Hermanos Saiz Association.
