A 52-year-old man from Prior Lake, Minnesota was arrested afterward when he was getting off the river downstream.

The suspect, identified as a 52-year-old man from Minnesota, initially fled but was later taken into custody

Sheriff Scott Knudson said the suspect, a 52-year-old Prior Lake, Minnesota man, was arrested and taken to the St. Croix County Jail.

Those injured include three men and a woman who are all in their early 20s, most with injuries to the torso.

Wisconsin authorities said formal charges are expected Monday for the 52-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing a 17-year-old and wounding four other people out tubing on Apple River.

One man is believed to be responsible for all the attacks and what led up to them is not yet clear.
