Colorado’s junior U.S. senator got a look at the future of the state’s rural energy supply earlier this week when he visited Xcel Energy’s Pawnee Generating Station near Brush. Sen. John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., toured the Pawnee plant and met with Xcel officials to talk about long-term plans to meet the increasing power needs of rural Colorado with a project called Colorado’s Power Pathway.
