World Archery's Indoor World Series is set to make a full return for
the forthcoming 2023 season, with four stops set to feature on the
circuit, starting in Luxembourg in November of this year and
concluding with the Finals in Las Vegas in February next year.
Rushmore Rumble set as last live event for 2021 Indoor Archery World Series Thursday, 11 February 2021
The Rushmore Rumble, part of the 2021 Indoor Archery World Series, is set to be the last live event on the circuit this season, and is scheduled to take place this weekend.
This new tournament is set to start tomorrow and conclude on Sunday (February 14) at the NFAA Easton Archery Centre in Yankton in the United States.
It is also filling the spot that the Vegas Shoot traditionally holds in the calendar, which has had its format changed for 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The amateur and junior competitions for the Vegas Shoot are now set to take place virtually, while the professional championship divisions have been delayed.
Jäätma beats Estonian rival to retain Sud de France compound archery title Sunday, 31 January 2021
Estonian Lisell Jäätma defended her women’s compound crown at the Sud de France Nimes Archery Tournament with victory over compatriot Meeri-Marita Paas.
Second seed Jäätma edged Luxembourg’s Mariya Shkolna and France’s Lola Grandjean before seeing off fifth seed Paas 147-144 in the final.
Lola clinched bronze with a 144-143 win over top seed Amanda Mlinarić of Croatia.
Fourth seed Jean Philippe Boulch of France came out on top in the men’s compound final, beating compatriot Adrien Gontier 149-144.
Estonia’s Robin Jäätma produced one of the shocks of the day when he downed top seed Mike Schloesser of the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
Archers from 13 nations set to compete in Sud de France tournament Friday, 29 January 2021
More than 100 archers from 13 countries are due to take part in the Sud de France Nimes Archery Tournament this weekend - one of the sport s biggest in-person events to have been staged since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Elimination matches begin tomorrow, with the event having been delayed by two weeks due to the French Government s pandemic-related restrictions on sporting events.
Having initially been planned to coincide with stage three of the remote 2021 Indoor Archery World Series, it now acts as a bonus stage.
There are 43 men s recurve, 20 women s recurve, 32 men s compound and 16 women s compound entries in all, with all athletes and officials having to have presented a negative coronavirus test at tournament registration.

The number of participants at the Sud de France Nimes Archery Tournament has been restricted after local authorities approved health protocols for the event.
Competition will only be open to 64 archers in the four primary categories - recurve men, recurve women, compound men and compound women.
Every participant at the tournament, scheduled to take place between January 29 and 31, will have to had either returned a negative PCR test for COVID-19 within 72 hours of their arrival or provided a certificate of vaccination to be eligible to compete.
