Sam Beam just sorta stumbled into Iron & Wine. When he moved to Tallahassee to attend graduate school at Florida State Universityâs College of Motion Picture Arts in the late 1990s, writing songs was merely a hobby. It was more like an extension of his filmmaking, and he didnât think much of the music he did make, at least not until a friend lent him a four-track recorder. This month,
Bruce Springsteen released his live Archive Series, that takes us back to his 2000 reunion tour with
The E Street Band and the eight of 10 shows at New York s Madison Square Garden.
This show, recorded on June 27th, features 24 songs starting with the then unreleased Code of Silence, ending with Land of Hope and Dreams. In between is an almost 19-minute Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out and a close to 15-minute version of Light of Day.
This is the second show from the 2000 Garden stand to be released. The first was the final show, July 1st, released in October 2017.

Legendary watchmaker Bulova has recently been reviving and reinterpreting its most iconic watches through its Archive Series, which is billed as “the ultimate celebration of Bulova’s history of firsts.” The heritage brand previously reissued its 1972 Oceanographer watch, which was popularly (and awesomely) known in its time as the Devil Diver. Now Bulova is unveiling a dapper new Oceanographer model, featuring the watch’s famous orange dial.
A little history: Bulova used to supply waterproof Oceanographers to the U.S. military. The watch, which featured a rotating bezel with black and red detailing, was designed for deep diving, as it wrapped snuggly around the wrist. It earned its Devil Diver nickname when the brand printed
