Baftas 2021 embrace diversity, with two-thirds of acting nominees being BAME
The Duke of Cambridge was among outspoken critics last year when acting categories did not feature a single person of colour

The Baftas have unveiled the most diverse shortlist in their history, with white actors making up only one-third of the nominees.
The organisation has faced criticism in recent years for its failure to include black and Asian talent in the nominations.
The issue came to a head last year when the acting categories did not feature a single person of colour, leading the Duke of Cambridge, Bafta’s chairman, to step in and say: “That simply cannot be right in this day and age.”
