COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho Talk about protect and serve; North Idaho firefighters are bringing the vaccine to the front door for people who can’t get out to get vaccinated.
The Coeur d’Alene Fire Department has teamed up with the Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho to help get the COVID-19 vaccine to those people who are now homebound.
“Oh that stuff [COVID] will kill you, I mean it’s really, it can kill you so I feel glad that I did that,” said David Brown.
Brown is glad he heard about the chance to get the COVID-19 vaccine through Meals on Wheels. The Coeur d’Alene Fire Department and the Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho has been using that connection as a way to initially reach out and see which homebound people need the vaccine.
