COVID cases for Miller County are up somewhat this week over last, Bowie County is way down. Trauma Service Area F (see charts below) which includes Texarkana, New Boston, and Paris, has a reported 33 people hospitalized, that's up a bit from 25 reported last week, 12 of those in ICU, 3 on ventilators, and thankfully still 0 pediatric cases.

We are seeing a very slight uptick in COVID cases for the Ark-La-Tex area this week right before the Thanksgiving holiday, however, you will also notice hospital occupancy rates in our area are way down. Dropping from just over 4% a week ago down to 3% this week.

Things are getting dramatically better in Northeast Texas, our Trauma Service area is down to 5.3% hospital capacity. Just a few short weeks ago we were over the 20% mark for our area which includes Texarkana, New Boston, and Paris, Texas. According to the State numbers from the chart below, there are a total of 45 COVID patients in hospitals in our trauma Serice Area F. Of those, 12 are in ICU, 9 are on ventilators, and there are no pediatric patients in those numbers at all.
