A new regional COVID Monoclonal Antibody Treatment Center opened up last week which is working wonders on patients who qualify for the treatment. It is already noticeably easing the strain on our local hospitals. Texarkana, Texas Mayor Bob Bruggeman spoke with Jim & Lisa on Kicker 102-5 Tuesday morning about the new center, that interview can be found here.

Three parents have filed a lawsuit challenging a northwest Arkansas school district's decision to require face masks. The parents sued Wednesday over the Bentonville School District's mandate. They argue that the local school board had no authority to impose the requirement.

Arkansas has set a new record for the number of people hospitalized because of COVID-19 as the state's coronavirus surge continues. The state on Monday reported its COVID-19 hospitalizations rose by 103, its biggest one day increase, to 1,376. The stateโs previous record during the pandemic for COVID-19 hospitalizations was in January when it reported 1,371 virus patients in the hospital.

Texarkana Area COVID By-The-Numbers for July 14 Thank goodness we did not see an explosion of cases here in the Ark-La-Tex after the July 4th weekend as many feared. The numbers in the Bowie, Cass, and Miller County areas have increased some for sure but nothing near the panic levels the media and Feds want you to think.
