A federal judge set new limits on groups watching ballot drop boxes, ordering them to stop confronting and filming voters, to stop carrying weapons near the boxes and to correct voting misinformation on their social media.
Under threat of reversal by the Ninth Circuit, Federal Judge Michael Liburdi reversed last Friday’s ruling that vigilantes who were intimidating voters at ballot drop boxes were protected by the First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech.
