According to sources, Byju Raveendran will remain as group CEO and Mrinal Mohit will continue to head the India business

Arjun Mohan, who previously served as Byjus chief business officer for over 11 years, joined upGrad in April 2020, during the first wave of the pandemic. He left upGrad in December last year to explore outside opportunities.

Before his UpGrad stint, Arjun Mohan had spent a little over 11 years at K-12 edtech major Byjus, where his last designation was chief business officer. Before that, he had worked at several Tata group companies.

The change in leadership comes at a time when the edtech company is surrounded by controversies and scrutiny. The company has deferred the offer letters of employees by up to six months, Business Today reported.

Byjus move to constitute a new advisory committee and rope in Pai and Kumar comes just a few weeks after its three key board members and its auditor resigned.
