For The Times Leader BARNESVILLE Village officials recently learned additional details concerning funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the village’s Slope Creek Waterline Project. At a council meeting on April 12, Barnesville Mayor Dale Bunting announced that the Slope Creek Waterline Project had been selected for funding through the Army Corps of Engineers Section 594 Program and that this was the final piece of funding for the project. At the most recent council meeting held on April 26, Village Administrator Roger Deal said that at a project kickoff meeting he had learned that the Corps would be retaining $75,000 of the $1,075,000 in funding it is providing for the project for some of its costs.
