Army Rejects Script News Today

'Some people who had retired from the Army – I shared the script with them – thought it was a beautiful story, and that these are outdated laws, and that the Indian Army needs to move ahead,' the filmmaker tells The Wire.

The script was to be filmmaker Onir's next feature film and was inspired by the real life struggle of a soldier who had to leave his position in the Army as it became untenable for him to continue in it because of his sexual identity.
