COVID-19: San Bernardino County reports 3,252 new cases, no deaths Saturday

Palm Springs Desert Sun While the tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases in San Bernardino County increased by 3,252 as of Saturday, for the third straight day there were no new deaths, health officials reported.    The county's death toll is holding at 1,560. The most recent death was reported on Wednesday. Since the pandemic began, San Bernardino County has confirmed 248,285 cases, as of Saturday's data. Active cases: The county's total number of known, active coronavirus cases is 24,372. This amount is derived by subtracting deaths (1,560) and recoveries (222,353) from the current confirmed case total (248,285).  Vaccines: As of Saturday, San Bernardino County had vaccinated 38,770 residents. Hospitalizations: There were 1,660 confirmed COVID-19 patients in San Bernardino County hospitals as of Saturday, which is 18 patients less than the previous day. Of those, 343 are being cared for in intensive care units, down one from Friday.

Palm Springs Desert Sun Bad news: San Bernardino County public health officials reported 3,510 new coronavirus cases on Friday — more than double the tally of new cases from the previous day. Good new: There were no new deaths.  The county death toll held at 1,560, with no increase from the day before. Since the pandemic began, San Bernardino County has confirmed 245,033 cases, as of Friday's data. Active cases: The county's total number of known, active coronavirus cases is 26,631. This amount is derived by subtracting deaths (1,560) and recoveries (216,842) from the current confirmed case total (245,033).  Vaccines: As of Friday, San Bernardino County has vaccinated 38,770 residents.
