The Space Launch System moon rocket is the most powerful ever built by NASA.

After 148 launches lighting up the sky and 110 landmark booster landings, SpaceX celebrated a new, terrestrial milestone Monday — its 20th birthday.

Astrolab executives say the four-wheeled, car-sized FLEX rover is designed for use in NASA`s Artemis program, aimed at returning humans to the moon as early as 2025 and establishing a long-term lunar colony as a precursor to sending astronauts to Mars.

The first crewed flight to return astronauts to the moon for NASAs Artemis program has been pushed back to 2026 at the earliest.

NASA picks emergency-room doctor, researcher, Afghanistan vet pilot, triathlete Anil Menon ’99 for mission training.

The moon is Earths closest celestial neighbor, but the temperature on the moon is drastically different.

ARTEMIS “has both electronic collection and ground scanning radar so it could for example see the movement of tanks in real time, and collect RF [radio frequency] signals emitted by adversaries,”  said Tom Spoehr of the Heritage Foundation. “Its sensors can go hundreds of miles out, so with the route it is flying it can see well into Belarus, Kaliningrad, and perhaps even into the Donbas region."

Creating sustainability in space means we need a better understanding of how Earth sustains us.

As NASA prepares to send the first person of color to the moon, it serves as a stark reminder of the space agency’s long road toward embracing diversity and inclusion.

A critical component of American ascendancy in space is the ability to monitor and predict space weather.
