Vietnam: Journalist sentenced to prison for 'abusing democratic freedoms'
Vietnamese journalist Nguyen Hoai Nam was sentenced to three years and six months in prison by The Peoples Court of Ho Chi Minh City on April 5 for a report he published that allegedly criticised the state. The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) condemns Nguyen Hoai Nam’s sentence and calls on the court to immediately revoke all charges against him.
