The maker of eyedrops sold under the brand name EzriCare has recalled its product after the CDC linked the eyedrops to bacterial infections, vision loss and one death.
Indian firm Global Pharma Healthcare is voluntarily recalling all lots of its artificial tears and lubricant eye drops after 55 adverse events, including one death and cases of permanent blindness, were reported in the US, American drug regulator USFDA said in a statement on Friday.
Global Pharma Healthcare, the drug manufacturer at the centre of the controversy, has said it's working closely with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
