In a case involving alleged anomalies in the distribution of a coal block in Chhattisgarh, the CBI has asked a Delhi court to sentence a former employee of the Ministry of Steel to seven years in prison.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has demanded a seven-year prison term against former official of the Ministry of Steel, who was convicted of corruption in a case related to alleged irregularities in coal block allocation in Chhattisgarh. The CBI requested that maximum punishment be awarded to Basak for what it stated was a very serious offense.
