Bankura (West Bengal) [India], February 14 (ANI): West Bengal Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Tapas Roy has said that the Left-Congress alliance doesn t have the strength to put up a fight against the BJP and claimed that only his party chief Mamata Banerjee can take them on.
The TMC MLA from Basirhat also indicated the Left-Congress alliance should join Trinamool Congress to contest the upcoming West Bengal Assembly polls to stop the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from coming to power in the state.

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], February 14 (ANI): BJPWest Bengal President Dilip Ghosh on Sunday said that Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Tapas Roy s speech at Bankura asking Congress and Left parties to join Trinamool Congress is proof that his party has realised that they cannot win alone and parivartan is bound to happen.
The statement came two days after the Roy had indicated that the Left-Congress alliance should join Trinamool Congress to contest the upcoming West Bengal Assembly polls to stop the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from coming to power in the state.
New Delhi [India], February 14 (ANI): Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Sunday took a dig at TMC MP Tapas Roy over his remark on Onda TMC MLA and advised him to leave his party and join Congress or CPM.
While speaking at a political rally in Bankura, the TMC leader had on Friday stated that Arup Khan (Onda TMC MLA) will join a procession by Congress and Left as they can t fight the saffron party alone.
