Warmer weather. How are the temperatures now . Ingrid they are hovering around the freezing mark in a couple locations. The good news is, yes, we are starting to see the precipitation leave the region. The foothills, we are still worried from mcdowell to rutherford, polk county, for black ice concerns as well as the mountains of the upstate, where as of about even 45 minutes ago or so, i still saw some pink on the map, which indicates sleet, freezing rain. So were not completely out of the woods and, in fact, you can see some of the light snow still falling along the tennessee line. Here is a closer look at temperatures, 34 in hendersonville but still 32 in morganton. Forest city, gaffney, and greer. So, please use caution in those zones. But at this point they dont believe that weather or Road Conditions were a factor. It appears as though the driver just lost control and came across this guardrail in the lefthand lane. You can see pieces of this guardrail throughout, about a 200yard stretch here on the eastbound lane. That guardrail is just absolutely shredded and you can see the tractor trailer still behind me over here. We do know the driver has died in this crash. One male, white male, out of south carolina. We dont know the identification because hes from south carolina. The Highway Patrol there is helping with identification and notification of next of kin. We expect to get that information hopefully sometime later today. Obviously, the scene here, still very active. The Fire Departments have left though. Right now, crews are waiting on a crane to help them get this tractor trailer out from this median. We are told the crane can only operate in daytime hours. So they will have to wait until therefore, they expect
