After a group of people allegedly attempted to enter the Trimbakeshwar temple in Nashik and tried to offer a chaddar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday appealed for peace calling on people to cooperate.

Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday ordered a special investigation team to probe the recent incident in which a group of people allegedly attempted to enter the Trimbakeshwar temple in Nashik and tried to offer a chaddar.

The state forest department officials have successfully trapped a male leopard in an installed cage at the Deolali area in Nashik, forest department officials said on Sunday.
