State sends Indrayani river rejuvenation project to Centre for approval

The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has received approval for its Indrayani river rejuvenation project and has submitted a proposal to the Central government. The project aims to restore and clean the river, develop riverfronts, and evaluate the feasibility of a water transport system. The PMRDA has submitted a detailed project report with a budget of ₹577.16 crore to the Government of Maharashtra, and the central government is expected to approve it soon. The project covers 54 villages and towns along the Indrayani River.
