State legislators across the U.S. are introducing a wave of bills aimed at curbing Chinese land ownership near military bases and strategic areas. Bipartisan support: Lawmakers from 33 states have collectively introduced 81 bills this year specifically targeting the acquisition of land by the Chinese government, China-based businesses and Chinese citizens. While most of these bills have gained traction in Republican-controlled legislatures, some have garnered bipartisan support.
