The MIT AgeLab awarded scholarships to high school students who developed intergenerational programs initiatives that bring together younger and older people for knowledge-sharing and social connection in their communities. The awards are part of the AgeLab's annual OMEGA scholarship program.

Carlotta Anice Russell, 78, who has Alzheimer s disease and lives in the Aspenwood Senior Living Community in Montgomery County, disappeared around 3:35 p.m. Sunday, March 7. She has brown eyes and gray hair and was wearing a gray knit hat when she walked away from the facility at 14400 Homecrest Road in the Bel Pre area. She is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 135 pounds. Call 911 with information.

Nursing homes, group homes and congregate facilities account for about 7% of Montgomery County’s total number of COVID-19 cases during the pandemic.
Of the 4,009 cases in those facilities, 2,156 have been among residents and 1,853 have been among staff members.
Of the 515 deaths in the facilities, 510 were among residents and five were among staff members.
The number of cases and deaths in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, group homes and other congregant living facilities is:

594 cases: 305 residents, 289 staff
101 deaths: 101 residents, no staff
● Wilson Health Care Center at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg
