“After detection of two positive cases in the teacher of a private school in Guwahati it is speculated that cases have increased. However, we have earlier found cases in government-run schools and after proper treatment those schools functioned normally. Just because that private school is high profile so much attention is generated,” he added.

As the electioneering in Assam picks up, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that COVID-19 situation in the state is under control and there is nothing to worry about the fresh detection of infections.
