The state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, gave the explanation in a statement issued in Port Harcourt.

The Rivers State Government on Wednesday morning began demolition of the state assembly complex. This is seen in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user, Abubakar Sidiq Usman, showing how part of the building is being demolished.
