Women, men and allies participated in Aurat Marches in all major Pakistani cities on Monday to mark International Women s Day and call for the protection of women s rights.
The first Aurat March was held in 2018 in Karachi. The next year, it was extended to more cities, including Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Larkana, and Hyderabad. This year too, the marches were held in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and other cities.

In Karachi, the march took place at Frere Hall. In view of the prevailing coronavirus situation, organisers had emphasised standard operating procedures (SOPs), including wearing masks and maintaining a distance of six feet.

Opposition-requisitioned NA session on 15th
Speaker says cordial house proceedings responsibility of both treasury, opposition
ISLAMABAD:
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has decided to convene a session of the lower house of parliament on the requisition of the opposition next week and stressed that by maintaining cordial atmosphere in the house legislation could be enacted in a better manner.
The decision was taken in a meeting between the speaker and Adviser to Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan. Matters pertaining to legislation and important issues of national importance were discussed in the meeting.
It was decided that the requisitioned National Assembly session would be convened on Monday, February 15. They also agreed that the proceedings of the house would be conducted under the rules and regulations of the assembly.
