They were administered the asset declaration by a Board Member representing South West zone, Prof. Samuel Ogundare. The declaration was witnessed by members of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Rt. Hon. Taofeek Abdulsalam, and Lagos State Director of the Bureau, Mrs. O. Popoola.

The move is  in compliance with Paragraph 11 Part 1 to the 5th Schedule of 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that mandates political office holders to declare their assets on assumption and at the end of their term in office.

Mr Makinde told them that he submitted his Asset Declaration form at the CCB office, situated on State Secretariat, Total Garden Road, on Friday in Ibadan.

NAN reports that in compliance with Paragraph 11 Part 1 to the fifth schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a governor is mandated to declare his assets at the end of the first tenure.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has said that his personal business concerns and assets have suffered a decline in value since he became the state governor.   Makinde noted this on Sunday while speaking to journalists.    The governor said he submitted his Asset Declaration form at the Code of Conduct Bureau office on Total Garden Road, Ibadan, on Friday.    When he assumed office, Makinde declared that he had N48 billion worth of assets.
