It brings unemployment claims down to 22 million in the past four weeks and that essentially wipes out all the jobs created sin the financial crisis we know the dapta was going to be bad and will continue to be bad because this is reflecting periods that arent april, and we know april will be even worse. Right these are daunting historic we look at them, we must think about what was happening, say, in 1930, 1931. We realize that the system may hold, may not hold i think were in a stronger position than then because they didnt have a social safety net, but these kinds of layoffs, theyre extraordinary. And we are at a loss for words for them obviously, all these people are now in some way or another getting compensated this week. But i think its not enough, and i keep thinking that the longer we dont have and its not opening or closing america the longer we dont have faith in being with each other, youre going to have to keep seeing these numbers. I have to tell you, i was hoping i never
Good morning. The committee will come to order. Not too many of us here this morning and the energy and Natural Resources committee. Its kind of a foul day. E department of energy because we would be moving forward with a package of Energy Related bills that we have been working on for well over a year. In many cases four years. Equities from some 70 different members of the senate. And we are stalled out right now. We are not not because of the concern of the people in this community, that they have not participated in but because of a matter completely unrelated to the jurisdiction of this committee, completely unrelated to anything weve been working onee prior to it so its stalled out right now. It makes me wonder why we work so hard around here to try to incorporate the good work around here. Too just take Good Committee work. My mood shouldnt have anything to do with your responsibility as a secretary and department of tear and all you are seeking to do but i do know the work of t

There is an almost celebratory aspect to this particular hearing and for good reason. You know, just as of a few weeks ago when i came to compliment you on your staff work, im going to do the same with regard to the giants here today. We had, as jack has noted, a very Good Relationship with them that began at the ballpark and is moving across the creek. The the ive always viewed this particular project as a commission that began with mission bay. This is when willie cut the deals back in 2003 to get that project to move forward. This is plot of land that functioned under different requirements and restrictions as you are well aware and those required a different sort of work that your staff has put in to overcome. I think in some ways it will represent an improvement as well as a completion upon what has gone before it in mission bay. And we look forward to it going forward. Thank you. Thank you, mike. Diana parsons. Thank you. Maybe i didnt pronounce your name right. Hello. From spur.
