About 200 British-trained special forces soldiers are in danger as Pakistan expels undocumented foreigners.

Former Afghan soldiers who were trained by the UK and worked with British forces should be given asylum in the UK, the former head of the Army has said, as they face being forced to return and face the Taliban.

Some 200 elite troops, who used to fight alongside British forces in Afghanistan and were trained and funded by the UK, have been hiding in Pakistan after the Taliban regained power.

Approximately 200 members of Afghan special forces, who received training and financial support from the UK, are on the brink of deportation to their Taliban-controlled home country, according to a report by the BBC.
