    The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) has confirmed the abduction of an Assistant Controller, Abdulraman Ibrahim Gelele in Niger State.   Gelele, who was attached to the Niger State command of the service, was reportedly kidnapped along Minna-Ilorin Road on April 17, 2024.   It was learnt that the abductors made initial contact with both his family and the NCS command in Minna but later cut off communications.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday while dismissing its appeal imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on Google for representing wrong facts and for its failure to disclose the information regarding the refusal of the patent by the European Patent Office (EPO).

Upon reviewing the case, the High Court upheld the Assistant Controller’s decision, stating, “The Controller is right when he holds that the step contemplated in the subject patent application lacks inventive step and is obvious to a person skilled in the art.” - Newsx

In addition, Google was fined Rs 1 lakh for not revealing true facts and for its failure to disclose information regarding the refusal of a patent by the European Patent Office (EPO) for lack of an inventive step.
