The US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Molly Phee, has called on Sudan to expedite the formation of a civilian-led government in order to fully activate the Juba Peace Agreement, two years after it was signed.
Sudan’s Emergency Lawyers say that they have discussed 15 items, including human rights violations perpetrated during and subsequent to the October 25 2021 military coup, in a meeting on Thursday with US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Molly Phee, who was on a five-day visit to Sudan.
The US embassy invited the Sudanese Resistance Committees coordination for a meeting with the US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Molly Phee. In the invitation, the embassy explained that the meeting between the Resistance Committees and the Assistant Secretary, would aim to “resolve the crisis that occurred after the military's seizure of power in October 2021”.
