After a year of cancellations, plans have been put in motion to bring back a popular race next year. Entries are now open for Kirkbride half marathon and the organisers of the road race have set a date for Sunday, April 25. Dozens of people are expected to take part in the event, which is due to start 800 metres from The White Heather Hotel. The race is described as flat and is a must for anyone looking for a personal best. The roads are quiet country roads and very flat with one small climb that gives runners a downhill run towards the finish.
