CALOOCAN CITY, Feb. 7 (PIA) The Quezon City government is preparing an initial of 24 sites COVID-19 vaccination rollout.
Officials from the Quezon City Health Department and Zuellig Pharmaceutical Company, together with the City Engineering Department, General Services Department, and Information Technology Development Department led the inspection of triage areas.
According to the QC government, the chosen vaccination sites are all public schools, because these are the most strategic and efficient venues for the vaccination. Schools have ample space to ensure the free movement of personnel and to implement social distancing. They are also the nearest venues from our health centers, where the vaccines coming from Zuellig to our cold storage facility will be stored, Mayor Joy Belmonte explained.
CALOOCAN CITY, Jan. 27 (PIA) Majority of Quezon City residents who were surveyed are willing to be inoculated with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID) vaccine.
According to City Administrator Michael Alimurung, of the more than 44,000 surveyed, 57.6 percent replied “yes” to the question “would you be willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19?”
Only 9.1 percent of those who were asked are reluctant to be inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine while 33.3 percent applicants are undecided.
“Many of those who refused to be injected are worried about the efficacy and safety of the vaccine while others have health issues such as allergies,” said Alimurung.
Of the undecided, most of them are having second thoughts about the side effects while others would base their final decision on what brand of vaccine would be used by the city government.
