Acer Inc (宏碁) on Friday reported that its consolidated sales for the third quarter increased 1.3 percent to NT$81.13 billion (US$2.9 billion) from a year earlier a seven-year high as global demand outpaced supply. Last month alone, sales rose 3 percent from a month earlier, but dropped 5.4 percent from a year earlier to NT$27.93 billion, the PC vendor said in a statement.
