The award, presented by the Plant Protection Association of India, Hyderabad, recognised CAU, Imphal associate professor Shravan M Haldhar's outstanding contributions in the field of Entomology and plant health.

The Governor gave assurances that all measures for safeguarding educational institutions are in place for smooth functioning of classes, the Raj Bhavan stated.

At the KVK, Andro, Imphal East event, around 250 farmers are participating in the programme.

Instead of using chemical fertilisers, farmers should adopt modern biotechnology techniques which can produce nutritive bio fortified foods, DEE, CAU, Imphal director professor Ph Ranjit Sharma said.
