The National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) has fined an auditor, Supreet Sachdev of BSR & Co LLP, Rs 5 lakh for professional misconduct and other lapses in the audit of Sobha Ltd for the fiscal years 2017-18 and 2018-19. The penalty was imposed after NFRA received information from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) regarding Sachdevs misconduct.

The CBI has given a clean chit to former Mumbai police commissioner Sanjay Pandey's company as well as officials from the market regulator and the stock exchange in a case of alleged irregularities in the audit of high-risk brokers.
