Developer Audubon Development would get new construction deadlines and a $1.1 Million payment to settle disagreements over debris removal

Many have been eagerly waiting to see the massive new development known as King's Landing come to life along the Treasure Coast.

King's Landing was supposed to be the next major development on the Treasure Coast, with a hotel, apartments, and restaurants along the water in Fort Pierce.

The Fort Pierce City Commission is set to hold a special meeting Friday at 3 p.m. to decide whether to extend deadlines for Audubon Development, the firm tasked with the King's Landing site redevelopment.

The King's Landing development in Fort Pierce, lately hanging in the balance, may go through after all.

Stuart officials say they will be getting a Brightline station that Fort Pierce was also hoping to land. The decision probably all came down to money.

A source close to Brightline confirmed to WPTV that five, not three, proposals were submitted to the private passenger rail for a potential Treasure Coast station.

With three known locations having applied to Brightline, one commercial Realtor who had expressed interest now says his client decided against it.

The Brightline is coming to the Treasure Coast, but the question is where?
