Investigators hope a $5,000 Crimestoppers reward will lead to the hit-and-run driver accused in the death of a Texas motorcycle police officer.

Darrin McMichael was a 24-year veteran for the Arlington Police Department. Officials are seeking assistance identifying a dark-colored Dodge/Chrysler vehicle in connection with the crash.

UPDATE 10:24 A.M.: Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) - The Arlington Police Department has identified the officer who was killed in a hit-and-run Thursday morning. Officer Darrin McMicheal was riding on his motorcycle on his way to work when he was involved in the crash near I-20 and Dowdy Ferry Road in Dallas.

The search continues for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck an Arlington police officer headed to work Thursday morning on his motorcycle, officials say.

UPDATE 10:24 A.M.: Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) - The Arlington Police Department has identified the officer who was killed in a hit-and-run Thursday morning. Officer Darrin McMicheal was riding on his motorcycle on his way to work when he was involved in the crash near I-20 and Dowdy Ferry Road in Dallas.

The two shooting victims were taken by private vehicles to the hospital on Monday night.

Police responded to the store on St. Augustine Drive near Seagoville Road just before 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Palo Alto police arrested a suspect in connection to Monday's drive-by shooting at the Stanford Shopping Center. Police say the suspect is a former employee of Fleming's Steakhouse, the restaurant where the shooting occurred.
