EAST TAWAS â Every year in mid-May, for more than a decade, people from across the globe would head to East Tawas and other Iosco County sites for the annual birding festivities.
Although an official, organized event wonât go on in 2021, the public can still break out their binoculars and cameras as they wish, to view at their leisure the multitude of migrating species which make a pit stop in the area each spring.
For the second year in a row, the AuSable Valley Audubon (AVA), a chapter of Michigan Audubon, has decided to hold off on hosting the Tawas Point Migration.
