• The Monmouth County Park System will host its “Great Spring Perennial Plant Swap” on May 1 at Tatum Park, 151 Red Hill Road, Middletown. Gardeners may bring established plants (up to 15) in one-quart, one-gallon or two-gallon containers and take home the same size and number of plants. Label all plants. Herb and vegetable seedlings are allowed for an equivalent exchange. Invasive plants are not accepted. Check the FoHVOS website for a list of plants that will not be accepted. • The Monmouth County Park System will host its spring craft show at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, Tinton Falls, on April 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This seasonal craft show with 50 local artists and crafters will feature Mother’s Day gifts, spring decorations and more. • The Howell Alliance and the Howell Police Department are participating in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 24 at the Howell Police Department, 300 Old Tavern Road, Howell. Residents may bring their unwanted, unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs to the anonymous drop-off, no questions asked. Remove or black out names from prescription bottles.
