Objective
Gender equality and the empowerment of girls/women are the heart of USAID Achieve project. Women’ unequal access to economic, social and legal discrimination against girls/women; their disproportionate burden of unpaid work are some of challenges to gender equality in the Deep South. In response to the challenges, USAID Achieve project conducted Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) analysis using five domains guided by USAID’s Operational Guidance on Gender Integration (Automated Directives Systems (ADS) Chapter 205). The GESI analysis included prioritized recommendations for action on how to address gender inequalities and social exclusion throughout the activity’s implementation. The objective of this consultancy is to develop a Gender and Inclusive Development Action Plan (GIDAP) using findings from the original GESI analysis and project document.
