These stone are in a straight line slanting across the river and I thought that they were the remains of a weir. However it seems that there has never been a weir here.

The ground is above the B847 south-west of Calvine in Glen Errochty. It seems to be part of an extensive area fenced around to exclude deer and planted with trees. Those in the image of course are not part of the scheme.
