Mid-Prairie High School will advance 11 students and Highland will send four to the state individual speech contest after receiving Division 1 ratings for their district performances on Saturday. Thirteen Mid-Prairie High School students performing in six categories received top ratings during the state large group speech contest Saturday. Students performed for three certified Iowa High School Speech Association (IHSSA) judges who came to Wellman.
