The 2023 Fall season was another successful one with teams around the county winning section titles in every sport cross country, girls golf, girls tennis, girls volleyball, and water polo.
“I prefer the high-pressure situations where the game is tied, or it’s close,” said goaltender Keeled Sullivan as her Archie Williams High team heads to the NorCal semifinals on Friday. “But we can’t let that pressure consume us. It’s just more fun.”
Marin Academy and Archie Williams shared a lofty perch as the two elite teams in the Marin County Athletic League this season, both undefeated in league play for most of the year. Round one in the battle for supremacy went to the Peregrine Falcons. A rematch is now set, with the pennant on the line.
The first week of the fall postseason concluded with The Branson School claiming both of the top MCAL prizes on offer the girls golf and girls volleyball pennants.
