Google Maps launched no less than 16 years ago, and originally, it was supposed to provide users with an easy way to find a specific destination without the need for a dedicated GPS unit.

Even though we totally shouldn’t be doing this, many of us just take the ETA provided by navigation apps for granted. And at some level, it’s no surprise we do this.
