The initial public offer (IPO) of Azad Engineering will open for bidding on December 20. The company has fixed a price band of Rs 499-524 for the public offer, which closes on December 22.

The company’s initial public offering comprises a fresh issue of up to ₹240 crore and an offer for sale of equity shares of face value of ₹2 each aggregating up to ₹500 crore. Hence, the total issue size stands at ₹740 crore.

The IPO received bids for 7,80,12,780 shares on Day 02, as against the 1,79,10,449 shares available for subscription, resulting in a subscription rate of 4.36 times.

This brought the total number of filings for the month to 22, the second-highest monthly count in nearly two decades. September 30 was the last date to file the DRHP with March 2023 financials.

The market will see in total seven companies listing on the bourses this week, as per the IPO schedule. In the mainboard segment, JSW Infrastructure and Vaibhav Jewellers will debut on the bourses on October 3.

Vaibhav Jewellers IPO | Its shares were available at around 3-5 percent premium over the issue price, in the grey market, an unofficial platform for trading in IPO shares till the listing, analysts on anonymity said.
